In 2016 I decided to really think ahead. This is something I’m not used to doing but felt it is important to show what it takes to create a painting. It was my first video I’ve made and look forward to evolving this part of artwork.
This shows my process. I work from home. I have a family and dogs. They are part how I work.
I’m invested from the beginning, before paint touches the surface. I’ve found my mindset has to be focused to achieve the desired painting I want. This video is me, my world and how I create a painting.
Social Media King
I’ve seen countless artists document all their work and I really do enjoy watching the different way artists produce work; the steps they take and techniques they implore. I'm not wired to do this. I did it once and have tried a couple of times, but it becomes a distraction and it takes too much time away from the artwork I’m trying to create. Here’s my latest painting and the step by step video I made showing the creation of “Marshlands.”
